Hawker Pacific has sold the first new interior G58 Baron in the region to a Queensland company.

Heavy equipment hire company the Wolff Group will take delivery of their new aircraft complete with upgraded cabin package before the end of the year.

The new interiors, which are available for both the Baron and Bonanza, were announced in September 2011 and phased into production in the second quarter of 2012. The upgraded styling was inspired by interiors of prestige cars, and built to improve cabin comfort and functionality.

Hawker Pacific’s Senior Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Flight Services Group, Tony Jones, said that it has been exciting to sell the first new interior G58 in the region, and the sales confirms the company’s original assessment that the new style would have obvious appeal in Australia.

“The G58 has always been a true leader in its class, and carries more payload faster and farther than any other piston twin.

"With the latest upgrades which include a superb interior, automatic climate control system and LED external lighting package, this aircraft delivers a whole new aviation experience and we know it will meet expectations – and more – for its new owner in Queensland. We’re looking forward to increasing demand for this unique product and business concept across the region.”

The G58 upgrade encompasses a new air conditioning and automatic climate control system, which is approved for operation in all phases of flight, including take-off. The condenser and evaporator and has a “set and forget” feature allowing the operator to select the desired cabin temperature that will be automatically maintained by an Electronic Control Unit.

All external lights on the aircraft utilise LED bulbs which have no glass filament to break, so they are shock and vibration resistant while consuming significantly less energy. The solid state LED light lasts more than 8000 hours, greatly reducing operational costs.

Synthetic vision for the glass cockpit and scimitar props complete the refreshed Baron line.
