Gustav III airport on the island of Saint-Barthelemy in the Caribbean is known as one of the trickiest in the world. With a mountain at one end, the approach is steep into a 650-metre runway that leads to the beach. The pilot of this C172 endures a blown tyre just after landing, which may be the consequence of some heavy braking. Note the aircraft finishes up just short of the piano keys at the other end, which are only a short slide from sandcastle territory. It's just possible the blown tyre saved the day.
