The Australian International Airshow has listed the US Airforce’s F-22 Raptor and B-2 Spirit aircraft as scheduled to appear at Avalon in March.

If it comes to fruition, it will be the first time these advanced stealth aircraft have been seen at an Australian air show.

It is not known at the moment if they will be flying or static, and may even be restricted to fly-overs, which will deny the crowd a chance to inspect them up close.

This is not the first time that the B-2 has been listed as a potential display, but the show organizers don’t often put it in writing.

Like all military aircraft, the F-22 and B-2 Spirit will only be there if operational demands allow it, and we have to be prepared to accept that they may be last minute no-shows.
