Piper names local PiperSport distributor

New Zealand-based Aerosport Aviation Limited has been named as the official Australasian distributor for the highly anticipated PiperSport LSA.

While the company is based in Cambridge, just outside of Hamilton on New Zealand’s North Island, Aerosport Aviation’s Anton Meier says that he’ll look at establishing offices on this side of the Tasman now that Aerosport has been named as the official PiperSport dealer for the region.

Meier, who is currently in Australia preparing for the upcoming delivery of a brand new PiperSport demonstrator, says the plan is in due course to open Aerosport Aviation branches in southeast Queensland, both the Sydney and Melbourne basins, and Perth. Meier also says he’s already received considerable interest in this latest addition to the Piper family from potential buyers.

In line with Piper Aircraft, Inc’s previously announced plans to increase their presence in the Asia Pacific region, the announcement of an official PiperSport distributor is great news for anyone in the market for the aircraft. And here’s hoping that an official local distributor for the wider Piper range will also be announced before too long.
