Asia Pacific Hawker Beechcraft representative Hawker Pacific has delivered the first King Air 250 in Australia.

While Hawker Pacific hasn’t named the customer, it says the aircraft has been purchased to aid in the transport of key personnel between remote project sites.

The first local King Air 250 delivery comes amid mounting interest in this latest addition to the enduring King Air family, with Hawker Pacific expected to deliver more aircraft to customers in southeast Asia in early 2012.

“The King Air 250 is the latest evolution of the globally popular King Air range,” Hawker Pacific’s Senior Vice President, Aircraft Sales & Flight Services Group, Tony Jones, said. “We are delighted to see a significant level of interest of the 250 in fast growing developing markets across Asia, and we are looking forward to an increasing number of deliveries into the market throughout 2012.

“In addition to this latest corporate delivery, we are experiencing increasing demand for the King Air range in Australia, recently filling orders for a corporate King Air 350i, an aeromedical King Air B200 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and two King Air 350i aircraft to Aeropearl to operate on contract as Flight Inspection aircraft.”

Originally introduced in 1973, more than 2000 of the King Air 200 Series of aircraft have been produced to date.
