Diamond Aircraft has been forced to stop development of the D-Jet personal jet after a significant investor failed to materialise.
One hundred and fifty workers have been put off at the Canadian manufacturing plant, which needed investment in production facilities of around $US80 million to build a fourth production prototype needed for certification.
Diamond is reportedly confident of finding a replacement investor to breathe life back into the D-Jet.
This is the second time the project has been put on hold.
