Tecnam's P2012 VIP is now ready to order, giving private owners and corporate operators access to the executive version of the Italian manufacturer's 11-seat piston twin.
The VIP made its American debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in July, following a global unveiling at AERO Friedrichshafen earlier in the year. It takes the proven P2012 Traveller platform and refits it as an executive transport.
The centrepiece is what Tecnam calls the "largest club of its class": a 6-foot backrest-to-backrest club seating arrangement plus two forward-facing seats and an optional extra seat, with eight-way electrically adjustable Italian leather seats, a handcrafted wood table and Alcantara finishing. Electronically dimmable panoramic windows replace traditional shades, while a three-layer soundproofing system and LEMO headset plugs at every seat quieten the cabin. A galley with chilled compartment and coffee station sits near the main entrance, and a private lavatory is fitted aft behind a sliding door. Connectivity includes Starlink-capable USB-C ports and 110V/220V power sockets.
Despite the fit-out, the aircraft retains the P2012's short-field performance, Lycoming piston twins and Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, and the VIP interior can be matched to all engine and wing variants of the P2012 series.
