Nominations are now open for the 2027 CASA Wings Awards, with a new category recognising GA Business of the Year added to this year's lineup.

The Wings Awards celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations across the general aviation community, acknowledging those who go above and beyond to make GA better for everyone.

This year's six categories are:

  • the Col Pay Award for Lifetime Service to General Aviation
  • GA Flying Training Organisation of the Year
  • Aero Club of the Year
  • GA Flying Instructor of the Year
  • Young Achiever of the Year,
  • and the newly introduced GA Business of the Year, recognising the businesses that keep general aviation flying.

Nominations take just a few minutes and can be submitted for individuals, organisations, or your own business. Winners will share in a range of prizes, including a Garmin D2 Mach 1 Pro Aviator smartwatch, fuel credit from World Fuel Services, and a one-year subscription to AvPlan EFB.

Anyone whose nomination leads to a winner will also receive a one-year subscription to Australian Flying.

Nominations close 15 November 2026, with winners announced in the March-April 2027 edition of Australian Flying.
