Navair has received Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval to operate a newly arrived Pilatus PC-24 for charter, the only aircraft of its type currently available for charter in New South Wales. The aircraft has officially entered charter service, with Navair operating it across Australia.
The introduction of the PC-24 marks a significant milestone for the Australian-owned private aviation company, expanding access to regional and remote destinations typically beyond the reach of conventional business jets.
Known as the "Super Versatile Jet," the PC-24 combines the speed and comfort of a light business jet with the ability to operate from shorter runways. For Australian travellers, this enables more direct access between major cities and regional destinations, such as Sydney to Darwin or Adelaide to Perth in one flight, reducing the need for refuelling stops or additional connecting travel on longer trips.
The aircraft has been purpose-built for executive and luxury travel, featuring a spacious cabin, flat floor interior and flexible seating configuration tailored for both corporate and private charter.
Navair CEO Rick Pegus said the arrival of the aircraft and CASA approval represented an important step forward for the business and its customers.
"The PC-24 is one of the most exciting aircraft to enter the Australian charter market in recent years because it fundamentally changes where and how business jets can operate," Pegus said.

Pilatus Aircraft Australia CEO David Scutchings said the aircraft had established itself globally as one that redefines expectations of a business jet.

With the addition of Pilatus as a manufacturer, Navair further strengthens its position as the operator of the largest fleet of modern business jets in Australia.
