A free aviation careers and networking event will be held at Perth's Bentley Technology Hub on 27 August, offering anyone aged 18 and over the chance to explore career opportunities across Australia's aviation sector.

Hosted by Sky Careers, the event is aimed at students exploring their first aviation career, career changers, flight training students, educators, career advisors, parents and professionals looking to expand their networks.

The speaker line-up spans the breadth of the industry. The CEO of Global Drone Solutions will cover training pathways in the emerging drone sector, while a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer from CASIR will discuss traineeships, apprenticeships and alternative pathways into aviation engineering.

Aerodrome Management Services CEO will introduce the varied roles required to keep an airport operating, and the founder and CEO of Perth-based FlyOnE Sustainable Aviation will share insights into sustainable aviation and alternative training aircraft. The team from CHC Helicopter will cover roles across flight crew, aircrew, operations and engineering with the global operator's Perth base.

Sky Careers CEO Sue-anne Munckton, a commercial pilot with more than 35 years in the industry, will discuss the full range of aviation roles, from casual gap-year positions through to long-term career pathways.
