A new aviation event combining film, fly-in culture and factory access will launch at Bundaberg Airport this September, with Flightfest Film Festival & Fly-In running from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September at the Jabiru Aircraft Factory.
The three-day event brings together filmmakers, pilots, aircraft manufacturers and aviation enthusiasts from across Australia and beyond, combining curated aviation film screenings with a dedicated fly-in for Jabiru owners and pilots.
Attendees arriving by air can fly their Jabiru in and park or camp on-site at the aircraft's birthplace, joining fellow owners and guests for film screenings, exclusive factory access, industry panels and an awards gala. Those arriving by road are equally welcome.
Organisers describe the event as offering a rare combination of aviation culture, community and cinema in one place, running daily from 9am to 10pm across the three days.
Flightfest Film Festival & Fly-In will be held at Jabiru Aircraft and Engines, Airport Drive, Bundaberg West, QLD. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
