Australian general aviation company Airflite has become the exclusive Piper Aircraft dealer for Australia and New Zealand.
Piper Aircraft announced the new deal from Geneva, Switzerland this week.
Airflite was previously the Cessna piston-engine dealer for the southern states of Australia until Hawker Pacific took over that role last week.
"Airflite has the experience, presence and passion throughout Australia and New Zealand to become a dominant player in the sales of new Piper aircraft," said Piper Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support Ron Gunnarson.
"We are delighted to add Airflite to our global network of Dealers. The company's reputation, knowledgeable personnel and strategic locations at Perth, Moorabbin, and Jandakot provide an ideal foundation for growing sales of new Piper airplanes in this important region."
Airflite's General Manager, Kristian Constantinides, said the agreement stood to benefit general aviation in Australiasia.
"For many years Airflite has been a proud and highly satisfied owner of Piper products," he said. "Piper's value proposition and desire to engage with Airflite and the customers in the region is exciting and promising for our future relationship and for aircraft owners and operators in the region."
Airflite owns and operates a fleet of 18 Piper Seminoles and Senecas in a business that includes aircraft leasing and operating, parts supply and maintenance.
Airflite Vice President of Aircraft Sales Nick Jones said the company is looking forward to introducing the M600 SETP to the market through a demonstration tour later this year.
