Queensland-based Oceania Aviation recently announced its appointment as an authorised representative for MD Helicopters aircraft, equipment and accessories.
Oceania Aviation was already the only authorised service centre for MD Helicopters in Australasia, and the new dealership agreement will allow Oceania to represent MD in selling factory-new helicopters and related products into New Zealand, Singapore and Indonesia.
Greg Edmonds, CEO of Oceania’s parent company Salus Aviation said said it was an honour to be given the dealership for the region.
“Having supported MD Helicopters as an authorised Service Centre in New Zealand and Australia for so many years, we pride ourselves on offering the industry quality aftermarket service and sales support. We are honoured to be offered the opportunity to further represent MD’s high performing helicopters which are very popular across both civil and military aviation sectors”.

MD Helicopters manufacturers and markets the (Hughes) 500-series helicopters including the 520N NOTAR. Over 2500 of all types have been delivered around the world, with users including operators in the south island of NZ, Japanese Self Defence Force and US special forces.
