It's good on occasions to stop and remember how far aviation has come. This footage shows the arrival in Melbourne in 1934 of the legendary De Havilland Comet Grosvenor House at the end of the Mac Robertson Air Race. Two days, London to  Melbourne, 11,000 km. It was a mighty effort in an aeroplane that today we'd think twice about using for a trip such as this. WE can't play this video on our website, so follow the link to Vimeo.
