This will be the closest most of us will ever get to flying a P-51 Mustang. A video shot from the cockpit as the pilot takes off and slots into formation behind a B-25 Mitchell. The panel is very modern compared to the equipment that would have been fitted originally, but that is the case with most warbirds flying today. It's interesting to see how the pilot uses the flaps as brakes to slow down after the initial rendezvous with the Mitchell. Take into account the camera is mounted on top of the pilot's helmet, which is why viz over the nose looks so good when taxying. But the best part is the sound track ... no soaring inspirational music, just pure V-12 Merlin roar!
