Jabiru Aircraft has graduated the first four maintainers from the Jabiru Approved Maintainers (JAM) program, the company announced this week.
The maintainers are graduates of the first JAM pre-qualification course held at Jabiru's Bundaberg factory in April this year. The first four are:
Richard Young – Recreational Aircraft Repairs, Gawler, SA
Peter Clement – Clement Aero Maintenance, Grafton, NSW
Bill Nyman – Halo Aviation, Shute Harbour and Emerald, QLD
Stuart Erskine operating out of Caboolture, QLD
"We're thrilled to welcome Richard, Peter, Bill and Stuart as our first JAMs," said Jabiru Director Michael Halloran. "These professionals have demonstrated strong product knowledge and commitment to maintaining Jabiru products to the highest standards.
"Their geographic spread across Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia is just the beginning of ensuring broad accessibility for our fleet."
Jabiru says it developed the JAM program to improve the confidence, enjoyment, and safe use of Jabiru products. Maintainers are given priority access to training, procedures, spares, and OEM engineering approvals.
JAM course will be held annually at Jabiru's Bundaberg factory, open to existing maintainers holding L2, LAME, Repairman Approval Certificate, or international equivalent qualifications. Jabiru In-service Safety Manager and J230 owner Peter Cawthorne oversees the program.
