Two Blackshape Prime recreational aeroplanes have been put on the static display schedule for the Australian International Airshow at Avalon in February-March.

The aircraft are expected to arrive at Tyabb airport in mid February according to PLA Aviation Marketing Manager Zulay Florez, where they will be assembled ready for staging out of Tooradin.

The BK100 Prime is powered by a 100- or 115-hp Rotax, which gives the aircraft a potential top speed of 150 KTAS. Construction is mainly of pre-preg hot-melt carbon fibre.

Recreational Aviation Australia approved the two-seat tandem low-wing as a certified aircraft under CAO 95.55 earlier this year.

More information on the Blackshape Prime is on the Blackshape website.

The Australian International Airshow is on at Avalon 28 February - 5 March. More information is on the air show website.
