Airservices has launched a new-look website which is intended to deliver improved usability to customers and stakeholders. The website includes an improved ‘network status’ page which provides information to the travelling public on the status of the national air traffic control network. It also provides direct front-page access to the online newsroom, WebTrack and flight briefing services.

As if Boeing's 787 hadn't had enough problems along the way, now first operator of the Dreamliner, Japan's ANA, has had a bingle. Apparently the ANA crew managed to drive an engine cowling into a boarding bridge at the gate. But it was minor damage and the airline is set to fly its first revenue flight from Narita to Hong Kong next week.
Most of the remotely piloted aircraft (RPAs) flown by the US military are controlled out of a small base in the Nevada desert. Each RPA is operated by a pilot and a sensor operator, both in flying suits despite their remoteness from the vehicle, which might be flying in Iraq or Afghanistan.
