Vulcanair has announced plans to build a four-seat high-wing general aviation aircraft.
The Italian manufacturer of the P68C outlined the new Vulcanair V1.0 at AERO 2014 at Friedrichshafen last week.
The V1.0 will be powered by a 180-hp Lycoming IO-360 and constructed of steel tube with aluminium riveted wings, tail an empennage.
With a maximum take-off weight of 1155 kg and a basic empty weight of 738 kg, the new Vulcanair will target the established markets of the C172 and Piper Archer.
The company plans to offer both fixed-pitch and constant-speed props, and a Garmin 500 glass cockpit.
Cruise performance is predicted to be a maximum of 139 KTAS and the rate of climb 885 feet per minute.
