Sydney-based Utility Air has been appointed as the local sales agent for the Kodiak 100 single-engined turbo-prop (SETP).
The company will be reponsible for marketing the Kodiak in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and the South Pacific islands.
“I am proud that Utility Air has been selected to distribute the Kodiak in the Pacific,” said Stephen Pembro, Managing Director of Utility Air. “The single engine turbo-prop market in Oceania is strong and we see the Kodiak's combination of superior performance and unmatched value as a winning combination.”
The Kodiak 100 is a 10-seat SETP built by Quest Aircraft in the USA. It's powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6 and is designed for STOL operations. There is currently only one in Australia, operated by Boomerang Pastoral in SE Queensland.
Utility Aircraft also has the local sales agency for the Viking Twin Otter Series 400 twin-engined turbo-prop.
