A steering committee has been appointed to guide the development of the fledgling Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA).
Heading up the steering committee as President is former Bell Helicopter sales executive Peter Crook, ably supported by CPL(H) Mark Scrymgeour as Vice President and Rob Rich as Convenor and filling in as Secretary/Treasurer.
These volunteer appointments will be effective from early September, with a dedicated Secretary/Treasurer expected to be appointed at the AHIA Annual General Meeting in November.
Convenor Rob Rich will have the necessary paperwork done by the AGM to register AHIA as a non-profit organisation.
AHIA is also seeking sponsorship from Aerospace Aviation Limited to provide the resources needed for AHIA to become a major presence at the Avalon air show in Feb/March 2013.
