The Australian Division of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and Aviation Development Australia are giving away 600 tickets to the Australian International Airshow at Avalon next February.

Known as "Student Professional" passes, the tickets are intended to encourage greater participation by aviation and aerospace students. The RAeS considers this "an important initiative to contribute to the Airshow objectives".

The Melbourne branch of the RAeS will allocate the tickets on a national, transparent basis according to the following criteria.

  • Must be an undergraduate, postgraduate or TAFE student in aerospace engineering, aviation sciences or technology, who shows a keen interest in an aviation career
  • Pass is available for one day only on any of the Tuesday-Thursday trade days
  • Dress code applies (no jeans!)
  • The pass cannot be transfered and photo ID will be required.

If you fit the bill and want to claim your free pass, put your application in at the RAeS website here.
