Lightspeed has extended their FlightLink iPad app to the entry-level Sierra ANR headset.
Previously, the app was compatible only with the new Zulu.2 headset, which is a higher-ticket product than the Sierra.
"Sierra has been our primary vehicle for introducing the benefits of premium ANR headsets to student pilots," said Teresa De Mers, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. "The addition of FlightLink to its capabilities adds a new level of utility to its already exceptional comfort and quiet."
FlightLink enables pilots to capture incoming and outgoing communications for instant playback or archiving to common audio management software—such as iTunes—for later retrieval.
"FlightLink is a great training tool for students new to 'tower talk,' or experienced pilots training for a new rating or proficiency," said De Mers. "Together with Sierra, it will enhance the learning experience and could improve the odds of a student's success."
