GippsAero will ramp-up its involvement in the law enforcement industry by exhibiting at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) conference in Orlando, Florida in this week.
In conjunction with US dealer Summit Aviation, the company has dispatched an Airvan with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) equipment installed to the conferance.
"ALEA 2013 is the perfect venue to showcase the ISR-equipped GA8 Airvan Astra to special mission professionals," said Keith Douglas, CEO, GippsAero.
"The GA8 Airvan's rugged design, low operating costs and ability to smoothly and safely operate at slow speeds makes this aircraft a good fit for many law enforcement agencies and their mission profiles."
The Airvan Astra is a specially equipped G8 Airvan with several available options that enable specialist operators to configure a Special Task aircraft tailored to their own requirements.
GippsAero works directly with operators and Summit Aviation in the US to engineer custom requirements.
"GippsAero's Airvan Astra solidifies the company's commitment to providing the best aircraft for law enforcement and special mission agencies," said Steve Maltby, Director Global Business Development, GippsAero.
"We are looking forward to ALEA 2013 and meeting with potential customers as the ISR community continues to be a top priority for the company."
