GA8 Airvan manufacturer GippsAERO has appointed Florida-based Flightline Group, Inc. as its authorised dealer for the southeastern United States.

After announcing in July 2011 plans to establish an assembly plant in North America and to build a comprehensive dealership network in North America, the newly announced partnership with Flightline Group, Inc marks an important milestone for the long-serving Latrobe Valley based aircraft manufacturer.

Established in 1982, Tallahassee-headquartered Flightline Group, Inc is a diverse, regional group of companies that provide aviation sales and support services (piston-engine, turboprop and business jets) through facilities in Tallahassee (Florida), Vero Beach (Florida) and Memphis (Tennessee). Flightline will represent GippsAERO products across nine states in southeastern US – Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina and North Carolina.

“Flightline Group embodies the dedication to customer service and satisfaction that our customers demand,” GippsAERO CEO Dr. Terry Miles said. “GippsAERO is excited about partnering with Flightline and the way our partnership complements our shared vision for the future. We will be introducing additional North American dealers in the coming weeks, and we are confident that our new distribution network will increase our responsiveness to this important market.”

“The whole team at Flightline Group is honoured to partner with the GippsAERO and Mahindra Aerospace team to bring the high-utility GA8 Airvan to the US marketplace,” Flightline Group’s Chairman of the Board, Paul “Mac” Langston, added.

“We believe in the GippsAERO team and in their vision and ability to design, build and deliver an aircraft that provides a highly-sought level of utility, at a truly impressive level of quality, providing for unprecedented ruggedness and versatility. We are looking forward to introducing the GA8 Airvan and the future GippsAERO products to the aviation market in the southeastern US.”

In other GippsAERO news, the manufacturing facility for the forthcoming GA10 is currently being constructed and the company is aiming to certify (locally and in the US) the GA10 early next year. To read more about the GA10, keep an eye out for the forthcoming May/June print issue of Australian Flying.
