Former star of the Australian International Air Show, Eddie Andreini, was killed in an air show crash in the USA last Sunday.
Andreini was attempting a low-level inverted streamer cut at the Thunder over Solano show in California when his blue and silver Super Stearman crashed and caught fire.
The 77-year veteran of over 1000 air shows around the world died almost immediately.
Officials said the conditions at the time were good with winds no more than 10-15 knots.
Andreini was a hit with the Avalon crowd in the 2000s when he often performed with wing walker Lee Oman on the top wing of his vintage biplane.
