Nextant Aerospace has placed the first 400XTi remanufactured business jet on the Australian civil register.
The 400XTi is a completely rebuilt Beechjet 400A/XP fitted with Williams FW44 turbofans and Proline 21 avionics.
The CASA-registered 400XTi is a quick-change Air Ambulance, which can be converted from VIP to aeromedical configuration in less than 45 minutes.
“Australia has a proud tradition of aeromedical operations,” says John Oppenheim, Managing Director of Nextant Pacific Pty Ltd.
“Australia is home to some of the world’s largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organizations. With the 400XTi Air Ambulance applications and a launch of the G90XT Air Ambulance application expected later this year we are prepared to meet strong demand for these products in the region.
"Nextant aircraft deliver superior levels of performance and significant capital and operating cost savings over their competitors.”
As well as the engine and avionic upgrades, the 400XTi also has major aerodynamic enhancements and an improved engine mounting configuration with redesigned nacelles and pylons.
With a range of 2003 nm, the 400XTi can easily fly non-stop from Sydney to destinations such as Cairns, Auckland and Nadi.
