The final three board member of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority were named in parliament this morning.

Finalising the board of six will be Anita Taylor, Ian Smith and Captain Murray Warfield.

The only change from the six names leaked to Australian Flying's sister publication Aviation Business three months ago is that Murray Warfield has replaced David Cox.

The New Members

Anita Taylor: a well-known sports aviator who has been gliding since she was 16. President of the Gliding Federation of Australia and a member of the Australian Sport Aviation Confederation.

Ian Smith, AM: 24 years' experience in the aviation insurance industry. Awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for the promotion and development of aviation. Private pilot since 1976. From 1979 to 1985 was actively involved with the Schofields Air Shows and has recently contributed to the Australian International Air Show.

Captain Murray Warfield: aviation consultant who has held both piloting and senior executive roles with Qantas, after a successful career in the Royal Australian Air Force.
