Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Terry Farquharson will leave the regulator in July.
CASA Director of Aviation Safety Mark Skidmore announced the news to the Senate Estimates hearing on Thursday night.
" ... after over 50 years of being involved in aviation, 16 of which have been with CASA, Deputy Director Terry Farquharson will be leaving CASA on 10 July 2015," Skidmore told the senators
"On behalf of CASA, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his extraordinary contribution to CASA and wish him all the best for the future."
Farquharson most recently filled in as Director of Aviation Safety after John McCormick left CASA until the arrival of Skidmore.
