CASA has issued a draft CAAP for non-controlled aerodromes and is seeking feedback from the industry.
CAAP166-1(2) is an advisory circular covering procedures at CTAFs including circuits, radio calls, operations and hazards.
It covers special considerations such as glider ops, parachuting, helicopters and RPT. It also contains advice on how to handle downwind take-offs, wake turbulence, separation and practice instrument approaches.

The CAAP will be open for comment until August 14, and all feedback needs to be sent to Craig Brown at CASA.
