Cessna has secured an order for 79 C172 Skyhawks from a Russian flight training school.
The order from ViraZH in Moscow is believed to be one of the largest single orders Cessna has on record.
ViraZH already operates 11 C172s, which will be augmented by the new deliveries that are expected to be completed by the third qusrter of 2014.
Kriya Shortt, Cessna senior vice president of Sales, said “We are delighted to have a strong relationship with ViraZH and are proud they have selected the Cessna 172 Skyhawk to be their training platform.
"It is encouraging to see an increase in both our global customer base and flight training accessibility in Russia.”
Once the final delivery is made, Vira ZH will have one of the largest C172 fleets in the world.
