?The 13th Aviation Careers Expo, held on Saturday 24 August in Brisbane attracted strong interest according to the organisers, Aviation Australia.
The expo is intended to provide opportunity to those with an interest in an aviation career to meet with industry experts and aviation training organisations.
The event was supported by 24 exhibitors representing a broad sector of the aviation industry such as CASA, Defence Force Recruiting, Chopperline Flight Training, Griffith University, CTC Aviation Institute (NZ), Airservices Australia, Australian Wings Academy and Asia Pacific Aerospace.
Visitors were also treated to a real aviation experience at the aviation display area which featured a range of aircraft and aviation equipment, including the Australian Army's Tiger ARH and Navy Squirrel helicopters.
"This Aviation Careers Expo is now in its 13th year and is still recognised as a major event within the aviation industry and continues to attract strong industry support," said Bill Horrocks, CEO of Aviation Australia.
"The event is an informative and fun day for both exhibitors and visitors and feedback so far is extremely positive.”
Potential career candidates were also attracted to a seminar program, which provided them with careers information covering a range of topics including aviation career pathways, careers in the Australian Defence Force, air traffic control, pilot training and engineering, and flight attendant training.
