Beechcraft Corporation released its third quarter 2013 delivery figures at the National Business Aviation Association conference in Las Vegas this week.
The company delivered 38 new civilian aircraft compared with the 48 delivered in Q2.
Despite civilian shipments being down over Q2, Beechcraft CEO Bill Boisture says the results put the company in a solid position.
"Beechcraft’s strong third quarter continues the positive momentum we have experienced throughout the year,” he said.
“The class-leading capabilities and many mission profiles of our product and service portfolio continue to resonate with customers around the globe, despite the market uncertainty that remains in many economies.
"We expect to finish the year in a strong position, and our presence at NBAA reflects our optimism.”
So far in 2013, the company has delivered 163 aircraft, a 47% increase over the 111 for the same period in 2012.
The July-September quarter was highlighted by the first of 105 deliveries to Wheels Up in what is thought to be the largest prop-driven order in history, and the first flight of their AT-6 light attack/air support aircraft.
Despite re-structuring to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year, Beechcraft is thought to be on the market again, with Embraer, Cessna and Mahindra cited as the most likely suitors.
