Engineering graduates from Aviation Australia’s aircraft maintenance training program are set to start 2014 with apprenticeships across Australia and overseas.

The apprenticeships have been offered by some of Australia’s leading aviation organisations such as Jetstar, Alliance Airlines, Hawker Pacific, Boeing Defence Australia and the RAAF.

"Aviation Australia has an excellent record of employment for our graduates and this year has been no exception," said CEO Bill Horrocks. "We are extremely proud of this outcome and the high quality of our graduates who can look forward to great careers prospects with great companies and we are particularly pleased that our graduates continue to be well sought after in industry.

"From the day they arrive our students are being groomed for productive roles in the industry and this is very attractive to both employers and students”

The graduates recently completed the theoretical and practical component of their Certificate IV in Aeroskills across one of three trades: avionics, mechanical or structures, and will now complete the practical elements of their apprenticeships with their respective employers.

Aviation Australia takes in a limited number of government-subsidised students every year. To apply, visit their website or go along to one of their open nights at the QLD facility scheduled for 8 and 22 January 2014.
