Aviatex 2013, the general aviation exhibition set for Albion Park in May, has been postponed until next year.
The exhibition was due to be run in conjunction with Wings Over Illawarra, but has been put back now until 2-4 May 2014.
Aviatex event organiser Mark Bright of Bright Events said the industry has responded positively to Aviatex, but the overwhelming preference of exhibitors was to prepare for a 2014 launch event.
“After widespread industry consultation, we are convinced that Aviatex offers the well-located, professionally presented and affordable trade show the industry is looking for.
“However, 2012-13 has been a busy financial year for the aviation industry, with many businesses participating in regional and international trade events in Australia and overseas
“We have been encouraged by the large number of exhibitors wanting to participate in Aviatex, but most have indicated a preference to prepare for 2014.
“We have listened to the industry’s feedback and look forward to providing a larger and stronger inaugural Aviatex event in 2014."
