Two of Australia's electronic flight bags (EFB) have expanded their capabilities by adding further overseas data.
Avplan and OzRunways have added New Zealand and South Africa respectively, enabling their programs to be used by pilots in those countries.
Avplan 3.4 now includes the NZ VFR and IFR charts as well as the fully-licenced AIP, geo-referenced airports and VFR and IFR procedures. However, NZ CAA regulations still require paper charts to be carried.
New Zealand becomes AvPlan's third country behind Australia and the United States.
OzRunways has also expanded by adding capability for South Africa, which will be ready in Version 4 in a few weeks.
Full AIP and official current maps for South Africa and ONC and TPC maps for the rest of the continent with airspace and other data from the EUROCONTROL database. Weather and NOTAMs for many airports are available also.
