Australia's general aviation fly-in, AUSFLY, has been canceled for 2014.

The announcement was made yesterday in a press release issued by Sport Aircraft Association of Australia president Martin Ongley.

"Due to circumstance beyond our control, it has become necessary for the Ausfly 2014 event scheduled for September 2014 to be canceled," the release states.

"All exhibitors and persons with pre-paid tickets to the event should apply to the Ausfly office for a refund.

"On behalf of the organisers I offer an apology to all exhibitors that have supported us for this and past Ausfly events.

"Ausfly will be returning in 2015 - we hope that you will support us for that event.

Although no official reason was given in the release, the problem is thought to be too much to do and not enough people to do it all.

This year's fly-in would have been only the third time AUSFLY had been held.
