One of AUSFLY's biggest issues arising from the 2012 air show has been solved for 2013, the air displays will be closer to the crowdline.

Last year, the air displays were too far away from the crowd, which made watching the show difficult and photography nearly impossible.

David Brown of the Sports Aircraft Association of Australia (SAAA) outlined the changes for this year's displays.

"Basically the flight display will be out in front of the aero club and exhibitor area running parallel to the taxiway effectively we will be able to go right up to the CASA limit of 200 metres," he told Australian Flying. "Last year this presented a crowd control issue but doing it this way we are right in there."

Brown also had an update on who might be flying.

"We have the QBE-sponsored Matt Hall display on the Friday afternoon. We also have some exciting prizes and raffles, a great guest speaker  for the Saturday formal dinner function and it is all looking good."

AUSFLY 2013 is at Narromine and runs from 12-15 September. Accommodation is already at a premium, but locals have pitched in by offering homestays to visitors.

Visit the AUSFLY website for more information on the show.
