Pacific Airshow Gold Coast (PAGC) today released the first details of aerial displays scheduled for the August air show.

The teaser, released on Instagram, reveals a mixture of Australian and US displays, and is thought to be only the first of several announcements to be made.

The line-up as revealed so far is:

  • US Navy Leap Frogs parachute team
  • Yak 110 (two Yak 55s joined together)
  • US Marine Corps V-22 Osprey tiltrotor
  • Matt Hall
  • Emma McDonald
  • US Air Force Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker
  • AOPA Australia Freedom to Fly Van's RV formation team
  • RAAF Roulettes
  • Aaron Deliu Extra 330SC

Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is scheduled for 18-20 August this year, which is an off-shoot of the successful Pacific Airshow held at Huntington Beach in California each year.

“Fans have been waiting with bated breath for six months so we are excited to open the doors with something for everyone,” said Pacific Airshow Kevin Elliott when tickets went on sale in February.

“If you want a private cabana to enjoy with friends, we have them. If you prefer to relax on the beach with your family and enjoy the sky show while taking a dip – a Family Pass is for you. For those who want the ultimate high-end experience, you can spoil yourself or treat your business clients in a fully catered VIP chalet with premium cuisine.

“A three-day ticket to the show centre will give you the ultimate experience where you can really capture, absorb and enjoy the experience with premium views, an awesome commentary and fantastic choreographed music.”

Elliott said that his team was working with both civilian and military display pilots from around the globe and expected to make more announcements regarding the line-up closer to the date.
