New Zealand manufacturer NZAero will tour its SuperPac XSTOL single-engined turbo-prop around Australia until November this year, covering all states and territories.
The aircraft is in the country and will tour Queensland this month before competing in the 2025 Red Planet Software Outback Air Race, after which it will continue its tour around the balance of the country.
The SuperPac is a development of the PAC 750XL and Cresco, but features a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-140A 900 SHP turbine engine and Hartzell four-blade propeller, which NZAero says makes it quieter and more powerful than the 750XL.
"There’s no better time–or place–to show the SuperPac’s strengths than in the country where rugged terrain, remote locations, and short-field operations are part of daily flying," the company says.
"Whether you're operating in agriculture, aerial survey, training, utility missions, or emergency response, the SuperPac offers performance that stands up to the challenge and the tour gives you a front-row seat to assess it in person."
NZAero will start the post-race tour in Jandakot from 9 September, with the subsequent tentative itinerary covering:
- Albany
- Esperance
- Nullarbor
- Ceduna
- Adelaide
- Mount Gambier
- Melbourne
- Tasmania
- Canberra
- Temora
- Sydney
- Newcastle.
NZAero is looking for expressions of interest in demonstrations and static displays of the SuperPac from operators and will schedule stops based on demand.
More information on the tour including the Queensland leg from 4-21 August is on the NZAero website.
