Headset manufacturer Lightspeed last week released the newest version of their noise canceling Zulu headset.

According to Lightspeed, the Zulu 4 is the latest development in the Zulu range of active noise reduction (ANR) headsets that were one of the most popular on the market.

"The Zulu series of Lightspeed headsets has earned a reputation as the top choice in premium active noise reduction (ANR) headsets, thanks to remarkable comfort and ANR that delivers consistent performance over a deep, broad range of low frequency noise<' Lightspeed says.

"Zulu 4 builds on that success by offering more features and flexibility."

Among the Zulu 4 upgrades are:

  • dual Bluetooth that enables two devices to be connect to the headset simultaneously
  • AI-enhanced audio upstream that reduces background noise by 90%
  • FrameFit ear seals that allow for sunglasses and caps
  • a 10% longer mic boom and longer upper cable.

Zulu 4 is built almost entirely of stainless steel and magnesium, and weighs in at only 0.397 kg. It is available with twin GA plug, six-pin LEMO panel plug or Heli U-174 plug.

Lightspeed has set the Zulu 4 recommended sell price at $US1099.
