Embraer Executive Jets will bring the fly-by-wire Legacy 450 corporate jet to the Australian International Airshow, in what will be the type's first appearance at an air show in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Legacy 450 is a mid-range jet that seats 7-9 people in what Embraer says is the largest stand-up cabin in its class. The 450 has a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.82 and a range of nearly 3000 nm.

A relative new-comer to the executive jet market, the Legacy 450 first flew in December 2013.

“The Legacy 450 will be the best-in-class mid-light business jet, responding to the needs and wishes of customers worldwide,” said Marco Túlio Pellegrini, Senior Vice President Operations and COO, Embraer Executive Jets at the time.

“With full fly-by-wire technology and the roomiest cabin in its category, this aircraft will deliver unique features and amenities.”

Alongside the Legacy 450 will be the successful Phenom 300 single-pilot twin jet. The Phenom 300 has consistently out-sold its smaller sister the Phenom 100 around the world, and the first aircraft into Australia was delivered late last year.

Both the Legacy 450 and Phenom 300 will be open for customer inspections.

More information on both planes is on the Embraer Executive Jets website.
