Cessna has announced that it recently delivered the 2000th Cessna Citation CJ light jet.
The CJ family, including the current production Citation M2, Citation CJ3+ and Citation CJ4, has reached nearly five million flight hours, and comprises corporate jets developed from the Cessna 525 CitationJet.
The milestone aircraft, a CJ3+, was delivered to longtime customer Marc Dulude during a ceremony at Textron Aviation headquarters in Wichita.

No other product family in its class offers a wider range of capabilities, allowing customers like Marc to find the perfect fit for their mission needs,” said Rob Scholl, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing.

The CJ range was first unveiled in 1998, with the CJ1 the successor to the popular CitationJet. First deliveries were made in 2000, with the larger CJ2 following close on its heels. Both aircraft are now out of production. The CJ3 first flew in 2003, with the upgraded CJ1+ and CJ2+ coming on line the following year. The CJ4 debuted in 2010.
