Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has certified the Cessna Citation Latitude, clearing the way for the first deliveries into Australia, Textron Aviation announced this week.
The Citation Latitude is a 10-seat corporate jet with a range of 2700 nm and a top speed of 446 KTAS. It's ceiling is 45,000 feet.
“We are pleased to offer the Citation Latitude, the best-selling midsize business jet in the industry, to the Asia-Pacific market,” said Jessica Pruss, president, Asia Pacific Sales and Marketing Textron Aviation. “The Latitude is especially appealing to individual owners and charter operators in the region due to its unprecedented cabin comfort and best-in-class operating costs, combined with the range and performance required for regional missions.”
The Latitude is now certified in 43 countries around the world, and the global fleet has surpassed 100 aircraft and 60,000 flight hours since entering service in August 2015.
The Latitude is the first in a series of three new large-cabin business jets, including the super-midsize Citation Longitude expected to enter into service in early 2018, and large-cabin Citation Hemisphere under development.
