The Victorian Light Aircraft Championships will be held at the Bendigo Flying Club over the weekend of 23–24 May 2026.
Organised by the Royal Victorian Aero Club in partnership with the Bendigo Flying Club, the championships will feature five flying and knowledge events designed to test pilot precision and skill while promoting camaraderie among Victorian general aviation pilots.
Fleet hire checks will be available on Saturday 23 May, with competition events commencing from 8:30 am on Sunday.
The program includes a circuit and spot landing, a simulated forced landing (glide approach) with spot landing, a flapless circuit and landing, a simulator exercise and a multiple-choice quiz. A group dinner is planned for Saturday evening, with a morning tea and sausage sizzle scheduled during Sunday’s competition flying.
Pilots can hire a Piper Warrior or Tecnam through the club or compete in their own aircraft. Competition aircraft will also be exempt from landing fees during the event.
Entry to compete in all five events costs $60, with the option to enter individual events. Trophies and certificates will be presented on Sunday afternoon following the completion of events.
Entries are limited to 24 competitors, and pilots can register via the Bendigo Flying Club website.
