Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia has won contract extensions for two helicopter rescue services in Queensland.
The company has provided helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) on behalf of both the RACQ CQ Rescue Helicopter Service in Mackay and the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service in Rockhampton since 2013.
The new contracts will see Babcock providing the services until at least 2024.
“We are delighted to have secured long-term extensions to these contracts,” said John Boag, Managing Director for Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia.
“Both RACQ CQ Rescue and RACQ Capricorn Rescue provide essential services to their communities, and we are proud to play a vital role in that. We’re looking forward to continuing our strong working relationships with both customers.”
The two rescue organisations are individual not-for-profit entities delivering HEMS and search and rescue with Bell 412 aircraft on behalf of the Queensland Government.
