AirVenture Australia boss David Young announced this week that Parkes, NSW, will host the 2019 fly-in on 20-22 September.

The moves comes after only one year at Cessnock in the Hunter Valley. The reason for the change has not been made clear.

"We look forward to again hosting the Australian General, Sports and Recreational aviation sectors at AirVenture 2019 for what promises to be a bigger and improved event where all aviators and their associations are invited and welcome to attend, as they have been in prior years," Young told Australian Flying.

Recreational Aviation Australia and the Australian Parachute Federation among others were major supporters of AirVenture in 2018.

Parkes, NSW, is only 55 nm south of Narromine, the home of the Australian General Aviation Alliance's Ausfly event in 2018.  AirVenture held at Narromine in 2016 under the name OzKosh, and was held there again in 2017 as AirVenture before moving to Cessnock last year.
