Embraer has delivered a Legacy 500 mid-size business jet into Australia for the first time.
The aircraft was delivered to a North Queensland company after CASA approved the type certificate in January. The owners will use the jet for mainly business purposes.

The Legacy 500 is an 8-12 seat jet powered by twin Honeywell HTF750OE engines. It has a high-speed cruise of 466 kt and a service ceiling of FL450. Its maximum range of 3125 nm will cover all of Australia and New Zealand from any departure airport in either country.
From Perth, the Legacy 500 can fly as far as Bangkok and Manila.
