Queensland simulator technology company Ryan Aeropace is this month marking its 20th anniversary in the aerospace and defence training and simulation industries.

Managing Director Chris Ryan founded the company in 2005 as a modest start-up in regional NSW and has evolved into a global business headquarted on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The company produces virtual helicopter simulators for both military and civil use, and is one of the largest suppliers of helicopter simulator technology to the US armed forces.

“This milestone is not just about longevity – it’s a tribute to the journey, the people, and the partnerships that have defined our success,” Ryan said.

“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and even more excited about the future, as we continue pushing the boundaries of simulation technology."

Over the past two decades, Ryan Aerospace has delivered more than 600 flight training simulator systems across six continents, supported military pilot training programs, and advanced immersive training technologies in partnership with leading global operators.

Their flagship products such as the Helimod and Immersive Training Device (ITD) series have introduced modular, reconfigurable and scalable flight simulation systems.

The company produces simulations systems for military aircraft, Bell 206 and the Robinson R22, R44 and R66.

“None of this would be possible without the dedication of our talented and growing team of specialist designers, engineers, technicians, business development and support staff,” Ryan added. “Their creativity, precision, and unwavering commitment to excellence are the driving force behind everything we do.”

Ryan Aerospace now counts among its customers NASA, Lockheed Martin, RAF, Australian Army, RAN, Boeing, Bell, Sikorsky, Singaporean Air Force and the WA Police Force.
