Robinson Helicopter yesterday introduced a trade-in program to help operators upgrade to new aircraft.
Robinson is offering customers credit toward the purchase of a brand-new Robinson helicopter when they trade-in currently operational R22 Beta II, R44 Cadet, R44 Raven I, R44 Raven II, or R66 helicopters.
According to Robinson, the program will provide owners with easier access the latest development, including safety features, technological upgrades and performance upgrades, as an alternative to overhauling existing line aircraft.
“The new trade-in program underscores Robinson Helicopter’s commitment to prioritizing safety and reliability across its products," said Robinson CEO and president David Smith, "making it easier than ever for owners to step into a new aircraft, complete with modern features like impact-resistant windshields and advanced Garmin avionics, or even secure a deposit for our upcoming R66 NxG or R88 models.”
Robinson is encouraging customer to work with local dealers to ascertain the suitability of their aircraft for trade-in. To qualify, owners must submit detailed photos of the aircraft and logbooks for review. Robinson will then review the aircraft’s condition and airworthiness and provide a written offer back to the dealer with a trade-in value within two weeks.
The customer must arrange delivery of the aircraft to Torrence, CA, after which Robinson will confirm its airworthiness and issue a credit.
The customer must then place an order for a new helicopter within 90 days.
Australian dealers for Robinson are Heliflite in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, and Helibiz in Airlie Beach, FNQ.
